Lots of times we forget to love ourselves, but it is so important to make time for yourself. This is not a selfish act, you can’t help others without helping yourself first, or at least not as well. Social media is filled with posts that lead people to feel bad or self-conscious, and it allows for negative self-talk and body shaming. We are made to feel like we have to compete with those online who appear to be so “perfect.” Honestly, who cares. Yes, things like losing weight, getting your hair done, buying new clothes, etc., will help you feel better about yourself, but learning to love yourself for who you are is truly a beautiful thing.
